Patient care team
Our highly skilled certified technicians are an integral part of the services that we provide. Our Patient Care Team has a wealth of knowledge amongst them. They provide the initial examinations for every patient, and they make it a priority to ensure that each pet has a pleasant experience at our facilities. They use positive reinforcement and gentle restraining techniques to minimize stress and anxiety for our patients. Our technicians get to know you and your pets as well as our doctors do.

Barbara Sines, CVT
- Barbara graduate from Bel-rea Institute of veterinary technician training with an associate of applied science degree in veterniary technician. in June 2006. She has been employed at CPH since Sept. 2006. She resides in Thornton, CO with her husband and son. Barbara has 3 cats-Snoop, Stoli, and the Noodle and a dog-Stoli. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and reading a good book.

Heather Carpenter, CVT
- Heather Carpenter has been a Veterinary Technician with CPH since June of 2006. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Bel-Rea Institute. Heather shares her home with her husband, son, and an 8 year old German Shorthair Pointer, Palladin. She also has a bearded dragon, Bane, and a Goffin’s Cockatoo, Popeye.

Jennifer Deines
- Jennifer Deines began as a Veterinary Technician at CPH in June of 1999. She hopes to someday be a surgery technician for a Veterinary Specialist. Jennifer lives at home with her miniature long-haired Dachsund, Woodrow, and her two cats, Isis and Sunflower

Jessica Roach, CVT
- Jessica Roach Graduated from Bel-Rea School of Veterinary Technology in September of 2007 and immediately started working for Community Pet Hospital 3 weeks later. She loves her career as a veterinary technician and is very excited about growing the weight loss program for pets started last summer! She lives in west Denver with her husband and their 4 animals; their dog Ross, and 3 cats; Aurora, Bagheera and Sassafras.

Kaley Rea, CVT
- Kaley Rea is a 2004 graduate of Colby Community College in Kansas, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with Veterinary Technology. She has been with CPH since January of 2005, and loves her career as a technician. Kaley has a 14 year old dog, Barkley, a 17 year old cat, Buttons, and a 5 year old cat named Pudge

Kim Chrabolowski, CVT
- Kim Chrabolowski graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology. She has been with CPH since February of 2008, and loves her position as a technician. Kim has four cats-Abby, a tuxedo, Koosh, a Siamese, Nikki, a Maine Coon cat, and Maggie, an orange tabby. She also has two dogs, Emma, a Jack Russell/Whippet mix and Jackson, a Boxer puppy.

LeAnn Zimmerman, CVT
- LeAnn Zimmerman began at CPH in May of 2008, and has been in the veterinary field for thirteen years. She independently sat for the State Boards to earn her technician’s license in 2003. At home, LeAnn enjoys spending time with her pets: her six cats, Kodi, Cartman, Maui, Raggedy Anne, Andy, and PJ, and her two birds, Jake and Zahri.

Mandie Bussell, CVT
- Mandie graduated from Bel-Rea in 2007 with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences but has been in the veterinary hospital field for about 9 years. She currently resides in Thornton, CO with her husband, daughter, and 2 labs Nala and Goliath.

Pamela Johnson, CVT
- Pamela Johnson has been a Veterinary Technician with Community Pet since June of 1993. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. Pamela hopes to become a specialist in dentistry. She has two domestic short hair cats, 14 year old Mickey, and 9 year old Mystro.

Rachel Carey, CVT
- Rachel Carey is a 1998 graduate of Madison Technical College in Wisconsin, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Science. Rachel has been a Veterinary Technician at CPH since January of 2009, and hopes to obtain special training in radiology and ultrasound. She has a pit bull named Snyper, and four cats: Phoenix, Trouble, Morris, and Feisty.

Annette Moore-Hertz
- Annette Moore-Hertz, a Technician’s Assistant with CPH since September of 2007, is a graduate of PIMA’s Veterinarian’s Assistant Program. She is currently enrolled in CCD’s Veterinary Technician’s Program, and is looking forward to working as a certified technician in a few years’ time. At home, she spends time with her four dogs: Xenia, a 14 year old Cocker Spaniel mix, Jada, a 10 year old German Shepherd mix, Tinkerbell, a 5 year old Schipperke mix, and Skyla, a 4 year old Red Heeler mix.

Britta Meyer
- Britta Meyer has been a Technician Assistant at CPH since September of 2008. She has a BS in Equine Science, and will complete her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology in December of 2010. Britta aspires to be a Veterinary Technician for both equine and small animals, and a horseback riding instructor/horse trainer. She lives with her husband on the beautiful front range of Colorado. They share their home with a variety of pets: River, a thoroughbred mare trained in dressage & jumping, Brody, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Jaspurr & Roxy, domestic shorthair cats, and Reggie & Thumper, French Lop rabbits.

Laura Joy
- Laura Joy is both a Technician’s Assistant and a professional groomer, and has worked at CPH since February of 1996. Prior to that, she owned a grooming shop in Tucson, AZ. Laura especially enjoys the nursing aspect of her work as a veterinary assistant, and feels that compassion and gentleness aid greatly in her patients’ healing and comfort. She felt privileged to oversee the launch of CPH’s grooming services, which began in July of 2009, and to help ensure this new area of service met Community Pet’s high standard of quality. Laura has two well-groomed dogs of her own, a long-haired miniature Dachsund named Winnie, and ChaCha, a Skye terrier.

Leslie Mendoza
- Leslie Mendoza has worked as a Technician Asst. at Community Pet Hospital since June of ’08. Prior to coming to Community Pet Hospital she worked as a Kennel Manager for nine years and a Vet Assistant for two years. Outside of work she enjoys painting, scrap booking, gardening, and anything outdoors. She lives in Broomfield with her husband Anthony and their three children. They share their home with three dogs Josie, Stanley, and Dobby; in addition two cats Bagheera, and Flick. Then last but not least a turtle named Mrytle.

Michelle Luft
- Michelle Luft graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Certified Veterinary Assistant in 2006. She is currently in school to become a Veterinary Technician and hopes to complete the certification over the next few years. Michelle has worked at CPH since August of 2007, and aspires to obtain special certification as an Emergency Vet Technician. She lives at home with her husband, son, and pets: her four Boxers-Max, Maggie, Picasso and Jackson – and her short hair cat Doc Hudson.
